Advice from a solicitor

We are able to offer face to face meetings on the Isle of Wight, Eastleigh, Salisbury, Southampton & Portsmouth (& surrounding areas).

We can also provide advice and assistance across England using Skype, telephone and email to communicate.

Because our service is different from that of a traditional solicitors practice I am able to offer competitive pricing at just £150 per hour (inclusive of VAT).

Contact

That’s right you can get employment law advice from solicitor from £150 per hour

We will always give you a full costs estimate for the work that is required and will update you regularly as the case proceeds and in order to help you manage your finances we will bill you on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, depending upon your requirements.

In some cases we may be able to agree a fixed fee, and we would be happy to discuss this with you.

We also offer really competitive packages for Employers with the HR Harbour Support Service, more details of which can be found here HR Harbour.

Insurance

It is advisable to check any insurance policies to see if you have cover for legal expenses to defend an Employment Tribunal claim.

Your insurer will normally try to push you to use one of their panel solicitors for your case, but you can ask to nominate your own solicitor. We are happy to assist you under insurance funding, and can liaise with your insurer as necessary.

Other costs

Employment Tribunal Fees

If you make a counter claim against the employee in the Employment Tribunal then you may have to pay a fee. We can advise you if this is necessary depending upon the nature of your case.

Barristers Fees

If the case reaches the final hearing stage, it is often advisable to ask a Barrister to represent you and put across your defence at the hearing.

We would of course discuss this with you depending upon your circumstances and the Barrister’s rates will be agreed before instructing them to act on your behalf.

Medical & other reports

If it is necessary to obtain a medical report or some other experts report then you may have to pay this cost.
